Questions
I have collected a whole lot of questions on my website. Some of these questions are small and casual, such as ‘Where do the typed words go that are sometimes accidentally typed outside a text field on a digital device?’ Sometimes they are more substantial questions, such as ‘Would another group of animals do a better job of dominating the world?’

These questions capture the essence of my work: an attitude of exploration and inquiry. The set of questions forms a whole. The individual questions could be seen as cells in a body. But if you zoom in on one such question, it is also a thing in its own right, and an invitation to explore further. I invite myself and others to explore further with the series ‘Regarding this question’.

Regarding this question
How can you interpret the question? Who do you ask the question of, so that different perspectives are covered? Do I ask the other person exactly the same question as in the original, or a question derived from it? Do we need to agree on words and meanings? Or do we approach the question through visual imagery, or in some other way? Am I going to ask the question to a person, an organization, an animal, a plant or an imaginary creature?

Traces
I’ll start with a question about traces. Or rather, two questions that are closely related.

Do you like to leave traces of your existence?

Do you like to find traces of other people’s existence?
